​I’ve officiated a number of wedding ceremonies this week for couples who had to forgo intended plans. Some had courthouse appointments cancel on them while others were informed by their venues that they needed to reschedule to yet-unknown future dates. Still others, chose to postpone their special day in order to protect their elders and at risk guests.

My heart goes out to those adversely affected although I’m hopeful to hear that, amidst uncertainty, venues are kindly floating deposits and working hard to reschedule dates. Still, many couples have already obtained marriage licenses that’ll expire before their new ceremony date.
